Overview
When BOM versions/formula versions are created, one of the available settings is the valid from and to dates. If these are defined, they determine the period in which the specified BOM version is used for production.
Example
A product “Product A” has been created with a BOM that has two versions:
Version 1: Effective from 1st January 2023 to 31st March 2023
Version 2: Effective from 1st April 2023 onwards
When a works order is created for “Product A” with a production date of 15th February 2023, Version 1 of the BOM will be used because it falls within the effective date range for that version. Similarly, if a works order for “Product A” is created with a production date of 1st May 2023, Version 2 of the BOM will be used.
