Consolidations – Sourcing Data from Dynamics 365 Finance

Dynamics 365 Finance as a Reporting Data Source

Many organisations use a third party CPM (Corporate Performance Management) or EPM (Enterprise Performance Management) tool to support their Financial Planning, Consolidation and /or Reporting requirements. This is quite typical for large multi-national organisations that may be operating separate ERP solutions in different divisions, companies or territories

The appropriate approach to sourcing data from Dynamics 365 Finance for consumption by a third party reporting toolset is dependent on a range of considerations including preferred or available integration technologies, data volumes, data timeliness and more broadly on your organisations overall B.I., reporting and data warehousing strategy .. combined with an appreciation and understanding of Dynamics 365 Finances architecture and underlying technologies.
